I feel like this week passed really quickly! Which is amazing because I LOVE Shabbat and chilling and eating and singing and conversing, etc. But anyways, we went to neot Kedumim today which is a nature reserve where we did a few activities. First they showed us some caves, and cisterns and told us how they used them and some history. Then, we went goat and sheep herding! A new experience that was pretty fun. After that we made Zatar, basically the go-to spice in Israel and ended off the day making olive oil.
This shabbat we are staying in Ramat Ef-al for what we call an in-shabbat. I could have left campus to go somewhere else, but I actually like hanging out with all the people here and having the comfort of my own room. Next week I'm going to Ma'ale Adumim to my Jewish literacy/halacha teacher's house and then the week after that begins our Negev trip where we will be exploring southern Israel!
Shabbat Shalom.

Awesome just read all of your blogs, its really interesting how your having some very similar thoughts and expieriences like i had when i stayed. Obviously it was from the male perspective but i was staying with yeshiva guys, so obviously a little different but fndamentally the same. Also i spent a shabbos in Hebron and had an amazing time. Its interesting how you concentrated on slightly different things. We had a wonderful shabbat in the chabad center, which im sure you saw from where you were camping in that little grass area. We also visited the spot where the baby was shot by a palestinian terroist next to the mens mikveh. The politicl situation there is insane, just over 1000 jews surrounded by almost 100,000 palestinians. It was crazy jsut being in that environment. Also i was wondering if you saw the spot on the edge of the marat hamachpela where the Ottomans only let jews come up to the sevent step for hundres of years! But it makes me happy seeing your fascinating and strangely familiar personal and spiritual journey . Oh And btw the dorms i stayed at make yours sound like the ritz carlton haha.aka dead pigeons, pigeon shit, one constantly flooded shower and two constantly flooded toilets for 20 guys haha. good times
